Precision Agriculture : Field Doc™

Field Documentation is part of the Basics package and comes as standard equipment on the GreenStar™ 2 (GS2) Display. It records planting/seeding, product application or tillage operations. This data is collected on the data card and can later be unloaded into the Apex Farm Management Software where it can be shown in the form of maps and reports.

Links the SeedStar™ controller with the GS2 System
When connected to a SeedStar™ planter, the GS2 will automatically create a planting operation to make setup that much easier. When using the GS2 with a John Deere air cart, you have the ability to record both seeding and fertiliser operations. When connected to the air cart, the GS2 will automatically populate an operation for each tank of the cart.
Links the GS2 System to third-party controllers
Documentation of field operations remains important regardless of controller brand. That’s why the GS2 is capable of communicating with selected third-party controllers. Collectively, the system supplies you with instantaneous data while logging it to a data card. This information can be downloaded into Apex for further analysis and reporting.
Field Documentation data can include:
  • Application / Seeding rates
  • Variety
  • Crop Type
  • Machine
  • Implement
  • Weather conditions
  • Soil Temperature
  • Field boundaries

Precision Agriculture : Harvest Documentation for Combines

Harvest Documentation comes as standard equipment on the GreenStar™ 2 (GS2) Display. It displays and records on-the-go yield information for combines. All data is collected on the data card, and can later be unloaded in the Apex Farm Management Software where it can be shown in the form of maps and reports.
GreenStar™ Harvest Monitor™ System
GreenStar™ Harvest Monitor™ allows you to view measurements of yield and moisture of crop as it is harvested. Either the original GreenStar™ display or the GreenStar™ GS2 display can be used to display Harvest Monitor™ information, leaving the CommandCenter™ to be used for other critical combine functions.
The Harvest Monitor™ system can easily be upgraded to a GreenStar™ Harvest Doc™ system at any time with the GreenStar™ GS2 display or the original GreenStar™ display and mobile processor.
Harvest Doc™ Combine
Harvest Doc™ Combine is an expansion of the earlier yield mapping system. While Harvest Monitor™ allows you to monitor yield and moisture measurements while the crop is being harvested, Harvest Doc™ takes the next step and enables you to gather this data and record it to the data card for downloading into Apex. The data can then be viewed as maps and/or reports and used to make more informed management decisions.

Precision Agriculture : Map Based Prescriptions

Map Based Prescriptions comes as standard equipment on the GreenStar™ 2 (GS2) Display. A prescription or variable rate application plan is written using Apex Farm Management Software. It is then saved to the data card and taken to the GS2 display. When the prescription is enabled in the display, the GS2 will command the prescribed rates to the controller according to the GPS location of each prescription zone.
Allows variable rate applications with various rate controllers
The GS2 is capable of communicating and sending prescription rates to the following controllers:
  • John Deere Sprayers with Gen IV SprayStar™ controllers
  • John Deere Planters with SeedStar™ Gen II Variable Rate Drives
  • All John Deere 1910 (and certain 1900) Air Carts Equipped with Variable Rate Drives
  • John Deere GreenStar™ 2 Rate Controller
  • Raven 440, 450, 460, 660
  • Rawson Accu-Rate and Accu-Plant
  • New Leader Mark III and Mark IV
